Vermeer at the Rijksmuseum
Vermeer at the Rijksmuseum is coming in 2023 and is your chance to see a vast collection of the works of this brilliant Dutch painter. It’s the first time you can view much of his career under one roof. Some of the works are coming in from the earth’s four corners. So get to know Vermeer through this extensive exhibition. Johannes Vermeer (1632-1675) lived and worked in Delft. His work is best known for its tranquil, introverted indoor scenes, unprecedented use of bright, colourful light, and convincing illusionism. Vermeer used the very best and most expensive paints and pigments to achieve his stunning results. He only painted 35 works in total, so you will love seeing so many of them at this incredible exhibition. Keep an eye on the official Vermeer at the Rijksmuseum page here.
