Proof

Proof is the new play by the great actors at Downstage Left. It is the story of Catherine and her father Robert. He is a famous mathematician at the University of Chicago. She rides the line between genius and madness. How entwined are the two of them? Especially through his suffering from mental illness. Her sister Claire returns from her New York life upon the father’s death. Family affairs reveal new insights and everyone involved has to reevaluate the true meaning of love, trust and sacrifice.
