Königskinder is a wonderful opera coming to Amsterdam this autumn. The composer Engelbert Humperdinck is well known and much loved for all the wonderful productions he created, especially Hänsel und Gretel. That one is a stark contrast to Königskinder. It is a story of how the goose girl and a prince discover how one’s real self is how they treat others. What really matters is who we are on the inside.
