Florachromes

Florachromes – A Story of Four Rivers. The new exhibition at Huis Marseille combines photography, alchemy and ecology. The artists Arja Hop and Peter Svenson investigate how plants respond to the environment. Firstly, research and collaborative work touch on contemporary environmental issues as their explores four rivers. For instance, they are: the Amstel and the Waal in the Netherlands and the Whanganui and the Tamaki in New Zealand. Secondly, the Florachromes exhibition brings together the results of their research including large-scale pieces and experiments with vegetable dyes, which they have used to create photographic images.
