Carmen
Bizet’s Carmen is back in Amsterdam at the National Opera theatre. The excellent J’Nai Bridges reprises the role of Carmen. This is a classic tale of passion, seduction and betrayal. It is now over 150 years since Carmen was first played in Paris and it remains a firm favourite of the public. This Robert Carsen production retains all the essence of the Spanish influences. A must-see this September for one of the 8 wonderfu performances. For Carmen times and tickets, see the official page. For more local opera productions, see our handy overview.
