The Kattenkabinet Amsterdam

The Kattenkabinet Amsterdam is just another of the city’s quirky and different places you can visit. There’s nowhere else quite like it! For all cat overs, it is a must. It is also a great way to visit one of the beautiful buildings on Amsterdam’s Herengracht. The Kattenkabinet was created by Bob Meijer as a celebration of the life of his pet cat, John Pierpont Morgan (1966-1983). The cat had a reputation for being stubborn and headstrong. Over the years, the cat was offered presents by its many admirers. Many other cat-related objects and artworks were added as time went by. We have been wanting to visit this unique place for a very long time. We finally did it this week and here are a selection of photos we took during our visit. We hope that our photos give you the desire to visit the Kattenkabinet Amsterdam too. It’s fantastic!

Tip: You have to book your visits online before you go as they only accept online reservations. You can do that here.

Address: Herengracht 497, 1017 BT Amsterdam
